Steak and Mussels. That’s what we love and our new lounge bar is a relaxing place to come for a catch up lunch with friends or a cosy evening out enjoying our sharing boards and cocktails.
Always look at the board for daily specials often featuring local catches, whilst we use the same fine quality beef as in our upstairs restaurant for our steaks and handmade burgers.
Mussels are a must to try, and our sunny terrace is a lovely place to enjoy a large bowl with a chilled bottle of white wine. We serve them 4 ways – your choice!
The Custom House bar is open 7 days a week with the terrace open in the summer. Brunch is served 10-12 noon, Lunch 12-3pm, and Dinner 6-9 pm. Please note that no food is served on Saturday evening in the bar.

The Dining Room
The Dining Room is our upstairs restaurant where Adam our head chef works hard to entertain your palate! Great produce, seasonal ingredients, and local/regional sourcing (where possible) is what we start with.
Custom House beef is one of our crowning jewels. Whether it's melt in the mouth steaks, Chateaubriand to share, or Sunday roast beef, we use only the best south west beef, make sure it is hung for 28 days and then know just how to cook it to perfection.
Reflecting our quay-side location and maritime trading links with France, we also specialise in fish, mussels and other seafood. Local crab and lobster feature regularly in the summer when the latest catch has arrived.
Daily fish specials change depending what is available, but include varieties such as Sea Bass, Lemon Sole and Turbot.
